Saturn exalted, Sun debilitated: the two extremes inside Tula
Tula belongs to Venus, but it is best known for two other planets. Saturn is exalted in Tula, most strongly at 20 degrees, and the Sun is debilitated here, most deeply at 10 degrees, because the Sun's exaltation is in the opposite sign, Mesha. Parashara states both figures. Venus itself divides the sign in two: the first half, 0 to 15 degrees, is its mulatrikona and the second half is its own house. So the same 30 degrees hold a strong Venus, the strongest Saturn and the weakest Sun, which is why astrologers ask for the exact degree and not just the sign.
